Led by Dr. Roque Diaz, Progressing Forward, LLC is a consulting company dedicated to bringing diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) sustainable practices through capacity building. We understand how investing in DEI allows stakeholders to move from transactional to transformative inclusive and sustainable practices within their community by building the infrastructures needed to progress the individual/organization’s mission forward in the present day.

Our Why?

Creating cultural change (i.e., new audiences, equitable and inclusive student-to-professional pipeline, accessibility, balanced representation from historically excluded and marginalized people, developing a true sense of belonging and not additive, etc.) starts with establishing “the why?”

What is the individual/organization using to frame their DEI strategies? Are there competencies in place? Is there a DEI facilitator to guide the individual/organization to understand what area(s) to focus on? It is about getting all stakeholders involved to create and frame “the why?”

What is your “why?”

Our Commitment

Progressing Forward is committed to disrupting and challenging the current oppressive ideologies and dominant narrative to contribute to substantive societal change. Diversity, equity, and inclusion principles are inherent across sectors and essential to the future. Progressing Forward must be intentional in the inclusion and celebration of people from historically excluded and marginalized backgrounds.

How does this benefit individuals/organizations?

  • Allow for actively listening and supporting individuals to align and make the organization a leader in inclusive and equitable practices

  • Establish DEI principles and competencies to ensure individuals/organizations’ continued growth to intentionally create a place for all program/department areas

  • Individuals/organizations will have new resources for developing their intercultural understanding of equitable and inclusive knowledge

  • Individuals/organizations will have deliverables/measurable outcomes of what has happened each fiscal/academic year

  • Through establishing and cultivating relationships, individuals/organizations will create new “supports and incentives” models that will provide an enhanced set of selectively utilized and DEI-friendly benefits for all stakeholders
