Develop DEI strategies using Progressing Forward’s Framework
The DEI Framework looks at key steps and outlines and embeds the role of data, and strategies by investigating competencies in the workplace.
Key Areas:
Establishing and cultivating relationships in the organization
Creating “the why” for DEI and cultural change in the organization
Uncovering elements to develop DEI strategies and initiatives
Assessing the organization on DEI competencies
Establishing and implementing reactive and proactive DEI initiatives that lead to decentering and dismantling historical and present-day barriers
Integrating a strategic communications action plan to support the framework
CEO/Executive Director, Senior Leaders, Board Members, and Employees DEI Coaching/Capacity Building
This framework model allows for a deeper look at inherent issues associated with the absence of acknowledging, decentering, and dismantling historical and present-day barriers, and can influence thinking when stakeholders use tools, practices, and competencies to instruct others toward valued DEI goals. Further, thinking influences culture when stakeholders generate new practices and solutions to add to the cultural group’s repertoire. Organizations cannot successfully strategize DEI without addressing the framework’s customized steps and components individually, in the program/department area, or throughout the entire organizational structure.
